Whilst the floods have not affected us here in Pattaya many parts of the country are desperate for food, water and other supplies.
Staff and Regulars at Tropical Bert's were soon on the Job and within a few days had 40,000 Bahts worth of goods to be donated to the Flood Relief Programme
The Great Poppy Party
The Queen Victoria Inn is ten Years old in June 2011, The Royal British Legion are ninety years young the same month, not only are the Queen Vic having a party they have invited the Royal British Legion Thailand to host their Poppy Party there at the same time.
Wait, theres more yet; the proceeds from selected drinks that day will be donated to the Royal British Legion Thailand Poppy Appeal, there will also be a free buffet provided by Mathew of MatVic Fine Butchers who is also celebrating his birthday that month!.
So please make a date in your diary and join us at the Queen Vic for a great night and raise funds for the Poppy Appeal at the same time.

Tropical Bert's 60th
Well I made the big 60 but still have a long way to go to catch up the likes of Brian, Albert R.N and Bob. My good wife Pu and the staff laid on a fantastic night and ensured that our regulars, golfers and of course Legion members had a fantastic night. Free Beer was the order of the day along with a large Spit Roast Grunter as my good friend Scone calls a Pig.
I am not too sure of the origin of the two who carried the cake in, that was down to Pu and the staff, everyone had a fantastic night especially Lat who also had her birthday on the same day.

I hand Sister Auora (Who is also blind) our 'Bits & Peices' along with 6,000 Baht in Cash
It was once again time to visit our good friends in the Blind School and hand over the wish list from our St Georges Day Charity Golf. This Year Sister Auora and her staff had asked for a mixed bag, concrete tables and chairs, a jogging machine, a lawn mower and a large vegetable fridge.
All in All this came to over 100,000 Baht, we also handed over 6,000 Baht in cash made from the sale of Gez's St Georges Day Leisure shirts, we still have a number of these to sell so in fact there will be more money heading for Sister Auora and her Team
